Cá Viên Chiên tips
Tips to fry without burning, keep rush-hour customers happy and turn a small fish ball cart into the busiest snack stall on the street.

Never burn a piece
1. Fry to order
Only drop items when someone has ordered them. Pre-fried pieces sitting in the oil burn, and anything unsold at closing time counts as waste.
2. Use Mid heat by default
Switch to High only when it is busy and you can watch the fryer constantly. When making drinks or reading long orders, drop to Low.
3. Drop batches together
Pieces of the same type dropped together need flipping and taking out together — far easier than scattered timings.
4. Know the slow items
Fish balls cook fastest; tofu and spring rolls take longest. Drop slow items first and fast ones later so they finish together.
Serving customers
5. Red bars first
A customer who walks away hurts your rating the most. Serve them first even if another order is simpler.
6. Serve fast for tips
Serving while patience is green earns a 20% tip, yellow earns 10%. Upgrade the String lights for bigger tips.
7. Pick the sauce straight away
Choosing a sauce takes no time, but forgetting it is the most common wrong serve.
8. Start drinks before frying
The drink station runs on its own, so start it first — the drink will be ready together with the food.
Money and upgrades
9. Restock just enough
On day one about 25–30 fish balls and 15–20 beef balls are plenty. Money in storage earns nothing; upgrades pay every day.
10. Upgrade the fryer first
Two more frying spots let you serve more people at rush hour — usually the fastest upgrade to pay for itself.
11. Unlock kumquat tea early
Drinks have a much higher margin than fried items. Kumquat tea unlocks on day 2 and is well worth it.
12. Keep your rating above 4 stars
A higher rating brings more customers. One day with many walk-outs drags your rating down for several days.
